In-car equipment
Permanently fitted in-car audio, tv, telephone and electronic navigation equipment is covered up to £1,000.
Damage to third party property
Cover up to £20 million.
Damage to your vehicle
Your vehicle is covered up to its UK market value. We’ll settle your claim by sending you a cheque or bank transfer if it’s not cost effective to repair or replace what’s lost or damaged.
Vandalism protection
We’ll protect your No Claim Discount (comprehensive cover).
Uninsured Driver Promise
We have your excess covered if you're hit by an uninsured driver (comprehensive cover).
24/7 accident recovery helpline
Our accident recovery helpline is available to you at all times (comprehensive cover).
Repairs guaranteed for five years
Repair work is guaranteed for five years if you use one of our approved repairers and your vehicle will be cleaned inside and out before being returned to you.
Replacement child car seats
Child car seats will be replaced in the event of accident, fire or theft even if there is no apparent damage.
Driving other cars
This is included in your policy (subject to selected criteria being met). Cover is limited to Third Party Only. Please refer to your certificate of motor insurance to see if you have this benefit.
Medical expenses
We will pay medical expenses for each person injured in the event of an accident (comprehensive cover).
Personal belongings
Your clothing and personal belongings are covered for loss or damage in the event of accident, fire or theft (exclusions apply, comprehensive cover only).
Hotel expenses
We will pay up to £150 for the driver (or £250 in total for all the people in the car) towards the cost of an overnight stay in a hotel if your car cannot be driven after an accident (comprehensive cover).
Windscreen damage
Included in comprehensive policies. All you need to pay is the excess.

Provides legal cover of up to £100,000 to help recover uninsured losses from the party at fault.

We’ll supply a hire car up to 14 days in a row. The vehicle will be a small 1000cc hatchback car or similar. Available to customers who have comprehensive policies.
Guaranteed Hire Car Plus
We’ll supply a hire car up to 21 days in a row. The vehicle will be of a similar physical size to their own. Available to customers who have comprehensive policies.
Protected No Claim Discount (NCD)
After 4 years, you can protect your NCD. You can make 1 fault claim in one period of insurance or 2 fault claims in any 3 consecutive periods of insurance and you won't lose your hard-earned discount.

Hi all,

I am having an issue with AutoDirect van insurance. My father had insurance with them but he unfortunately passed away last year. I informed them of this and they sent me a cheque made payable to the executors of my father. Now my father did not leave a will or any estate so no probate was carried out and no formal executor appointed but the bank want to see the probate documents before it can be deposited. The cheque is only for the sum of just over £200, so not a huge amount.

I wrote to AutoDirect twice, asking them if they could kindly make the cheque out to my mum as we were having difficulty depositing the cheque and also sent a copy of the marriage certificate but i have had no reply at all. I have tried calling but the staff are unable to help as they seem to be there to answer general questions re the insurance itself.

6 months have now elapsed since the cheque was issued so the bank will most likely refuse now anyway but i am not sure what option i have now?
